Less guessing before commissions start.
Clients can compare service categories, gallery work, reviews, availability, and public showcases before opening a Discord ticket. Freelancers get a dashboard to shape their portfolio, answer admin-created prompts, upload portfolio media, and explain their process without losing the Discord identity link.
What is MarketGrid?
MarketGrid is a Discord‑based marketplace that connects clients with verified freelancers for commissions.
How do I start a commission?
Open a ticket in the official system and follow the prompts. All communication must stay inside the ticket.
Is MarketGrid safe to buy off?
Yes — we use a verified freelancer system, ticket‑only communication, and strict rules to prevent scams.
1.1 How do I find a freelancer?
Open a ticket and describe your project. Staff or the system will help match you with a freelancer.
1.2 What if I’m unhappy with the work?
You may request revisions inside the ticket. If needed, open a dispute for staff review.
1.3 Can I DM freelancers?
No. All communication must stay inside the ticket for safety.
2.1 How do I become a freelancer?
Submit an application when freelancer recruitment is open. You must read the TOS before applying.
2.2 Can I use AI to complete commissions?
No. Using AI for commissions is not allowed and results in removal + blacklist.
2.3 Can I show my portfolio?
Freelancers need to create a portfolio that includes their experiences, a personal description, showcases of their work, reviews, and the approved MarketGrid system.
How do payments work?
Payments must be made on verified platforms (PayPal, Ko‑fi, Cash App, etc).
What is the 50/50 rule?
50% before starting, 50% once done.
Does MarketGrid handle payments?
No, unless explicitly stated. Clients and freelancers handle payments directly.
Are commissions outside the server protected?
No. MarketGrid does not protect or moderate commissions done in DMs or outside the platform.
What happens if someone scams me?
If the commission was inside a ticket, staff can review the case. If it occurs in DMs, the freelancer will receive a warning for breaking the TOS, and Market Grid is not responsible for scams.
What if someone breaks the rules?
Report them to the staff immediately. Depending on the violation, they may be warned, restricted, or banned.
Why can’t I open a ticket?
You may be missing permissions or verification. Try contacting a staff member via DMing them.
Why can’t I upload files?
Discord may be limiting your upload size or your permissions may be restricted.
Why do I need to verify? And, what if I lose access to my account?
Verification prevents impersonation, scams, and bot accounts. Secondly, you must contact a staff and prove account ownership if it's lost.
What happens if I break a rule?
Depending on severity: 1. Warning 2. Timeout 3, Restriction 4. Blacklist 5. Permanent ban
